A native of Cincinnati, Mr. Vehr was graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1940. He lived in Wellesley for the last 35 years.
From 1940 to 1980, he was employed by the Stedfast and Roulston Co., a machine-tool dealer in Wakefield. He retired in 1980 as vice president of sales.
He was a member of the Nehoiden Golf Club in Wellesley.
Mr. Vehr leaves his wife, Norma (BonTempo); two sons, Thomas A. of Wellesley and Glenn E. Vehr of Westfield; a daughter, Janet M. Hogan of Larchmont, N.Y.; two brothers, Robert of Bradenton, Fla. and William Vehr of Cincinnati; two sisters, Catherine Snow of Cincinnati and Ruth Shields of Dallas; and two grandchildren.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham.
