Ernest Clayton, Textile Worker 82, died Aug. 3, 1989, at Chester County Hospital. Funeral is Saturday at Parkway Baptist Church, with the Revs. Randall Turner and Dale Roddey officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Clayton was born in Spartanburg, son of the late Thomas C. and Emma Campbell Clayton. He was a retired textile employee and a member and deacon at Parkway Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Azilee; sons, Thomas Clayton of Wilkesburg, Clyde Clayton of Richburg, Kenneth Clayton; daughters, Mrs. Merle Brantley, Mrs. Mildred Branham; brother, John Clayton; sisters, Mrs. Cren Smith, Mrs. Connie Fowler, both of Little Mountain; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
