BENTON HARBOR - Millie D. Scroggs, 74, passed away March 1, 2011, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center,in Lakeland, Fla., with family by her side.

Millie's life began on April 11, 1936, in Craighead County, Ark., the daughter of Wayne and Beatrice (Newton) Scroggs. Though a longtime resident of Berrien County, she had lived in Florida for several years.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis, Phillip and Ron, all of Florida, and Linda of Michigan; sisters, Nancy (Mike) Morrison and Freda (Johnny) Foster; brother, Fred (Trudy) Scroggs; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lavelva Johnson and Johnnie Knight; and two brothers, Jimmy Wayne and David Scroggs.

She had long wished to visit home one more time. She will now come home to stay, as she is laid to rest beside her mom and dad in Bainbridge Township Cemetery at a later date.
