He was born August 20, 1930, in Wonewoc, Wisconsin, the son of Fred and Anna (Brose) Hochmuth. He married Mae Tiffany on September 13, 1952.
Served in the marine corp. during the Korean Conflict. He was a city carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years, retiring in 1986.
Survived by son, Michael (Debra) Hockmuth of Machesney Park; step-son, Thomas (Mary) Tiffany of Loves Park; grandson, Gregory (Christina) Hockmuth; and great-grandson, Nicholas of South Beloit. Also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, two sisters and four brothers.
