Henry "Whitey" Edward Alls, 85, of Botetourt died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at his residence. He was born September 23, 1928 a son of the late Wilford and Goldie Alls. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary "Betty" Elizabeth Alls and a son Gary Edward Alls.

Surviving him are one son, Michael "Mike" Alls (Patty); sisters and brothers, Vera Short, Hazel Boggs (Clayton), William Alls (Gloria) and Jeanie Purdue (Ernie); three grandchildren, Christy Hodge, Brandon Alls and Jordan Alls; three great-grandchildren; very special friend, Carol Adkins; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to: Botetourt Rescue Squad, 20 Sunset Ave, Troutville, VA 24175.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville. A celebration of Whitey's life will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, February 7, 2014 at Rader Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
