Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Waymon and Ada Fisher Simpson. Member: Whitefield Baptist Church.
Survivors: Daughters, Brenda Hall of Williamston, and Cindy Simpson of the home; brothers, Robert Simpson of Belton, and Watkins Simpson of Greenville; sisters, Lucy Walls of Charleston, and Annie Laurie Clardy of Williamston; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
