William Carlton Cooley (1894-1902) is the nephew of Edward Mitchell Cota (1879-1932) who is listed on the same marker with Edward.


NAME Note: There is some descrepancy in his middle name. Death certificate completed by George Cooley (his nephew) states his middle name to be Michel, while both draft card registraiton states his middle name to be Mitchell. He had to know his own name. So we are going with Mitchell.

BIRTH PLACE Note: All census records indicate birth place as Connecticut except 1880. The family census was on two pages. The first child (Adelaide) states she was born in Connecticut, the last person listed on the first page, the next page it appears that the census person decided to put Canada (rather than Conn), Canada, Canada for person birth, father birth, and mother birth. Still have not proved birth place as Canada or Connecticut, however since he provided his birth place as Connecticut on all subsequent census records, it is believed that he knew where he was born.
