Rodney W. Kreger, age 57, died unexpected on Saturday, July 11, 1998 at W!lham S. Middleton Memorial Hospital.

He was born on June 26, 1941 in Sun Prairie the son of Walter and Shirley Kreger. He was a resident of Sun Prairie all his life. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 333 of which he was a past Commander. He served in the National Guard for 26 years. Walter was active with the support group of the Lupus Organization.

Survivors include his wife, Helena; two daughters, Vicki (Davy) Tomlinson of Poynette and Rhonda (James) Kimberley of Madison; a son, Randy (Carla) Kreger of Sun Prairie; five grandchildren and two step grandchildren; three sisters, Phyllis [Les) Johnson of Mount Horeb, Audrey (Tom) Zimmermann of Sauk City, and Sherry (Russ) Badington of Sun Prairie; a brother, Wayne (Marge) Kreger of Green Lake; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 1998 at BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1700 Broadway, Sun Prairie, with Rev. Doctor James A. Pingle officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery with Military Graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 333 and V.F. W. Post 9362. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 14, 1998 from 4:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home. 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie with the Last Salute at 7:00 p.m.
