Frank E. Barbeau Sr.'s, final rest came on Jan. 30, 2014. He was born on Sept. 12, 1932, in Spaulding, Neb. He resided in the Le Grand area for the past 46 years and had been battling courageously his entire life with Muscular Dystrophy.

Frank enjoyed wood working and spending time with his family. He met the love of his life, Audra R. Geyer, also of Placerville, and just celebrated an amazing 62 years of marriage. Frank and Audra went on to have seven children, 15 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren, with an additional 13 extended grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Oliver F. Barbeau; mother, Esther C. Heinz; two brothers, each also having Muscular Dystrophy, LeRoy and Gump Barbeau; and his faithful dog, "Annie." He is survived by his wife and best friend, Audra R. Barbeau; daughter, Susan and husband, Richard Clark of Mariposa; son, Frank Jr. and wife, Cathy Barbeau of Sacramento; daughter, Connie Forrester of Stockton; daughter, Terri and husband, David Fierro of Winton; daughter, Tami and husband, Ray Delgatto of Catheys Valley; daughter, Leslie and husband, Charles McClearen of North Carolina; daughter, Joanne Brewer of Atwater; and three sisters, Betty Bear of Placerville, Geneva Hathaway of Shingle Springs and Juanita Colin of Roseville.

To all who knew Frank, he was a man of strength and honor. He may not have been able to walk, run or even climb a ladder for the last 30 years, but his knowledge was always valued and called upon. His smile will never be forgotten.

To celebrate Frank's life there will be a gathering at his family home, located at 165 S. Miller Road in Le Grand, on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. Please join Frank's family in joyous memories of this incredible man.
