Frances Mary Marcotte 93, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Hillcrest Senior Living in Red Lake Falls surrounded by her loving family.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Chuck Huck Officiating. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 5 – 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at St. Joseph Catholic Church and also one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Frances Mary Marcotte was born March 6, 1920 in Red Lake Falls, MN, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Zins) Johanneck. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls. She attended Busy Bee Grade School.

On September 14, 1938 she was united in marriage to Clarence Marcotte at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. The couple made their home in Red Lake Falls where they raised their family. Frances worked at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls from September 25, 1963 until her retirement on April 30, 1982. Clarence passed away March 30, 2000. She moved into Sunview Center in June of 2004 and to Hillcrest Senior Living in January of 2007.

Frances enjoyed gardening (tomatoes and all vegetables), flowers (gladiolus and roses), she also enjoyed fishing. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary and 30 year member American Legion Auxiliary, and also the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her children, Duane Marcotte of Red Lake Falls, MN, LeRoy (Carol) Marcotte of Red Lake Falls, MN and June (Joe) Miller of Lake Park, MN; daughter-in-law Marilyn Marcotte-Franklin of Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Jim (Cathy) Marcotte, Nancy (Jeff) Williams, Andrew (Donna) Marcotte, Patrick (Karen) Montplaisir, Steven (Debra) Montplaisir, Kelli (Ron) Karnack, Cynthia (Dennis) Suess, Joe (Angie) Marcotte, Glen (Melissa) Marcotte, Brian Miller and Tammi King; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; brother John (Bernice) Johanneck of Crivitz, WI.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, son Willard Nov. 23, 1980, brothers, Ed Johanneck, Ray Johanneck, Clem Johanneck, Sylvester Johanneck and sisters, Gertrude Schafer-Moliter, Eleanor McBride, Agnes Fecteau, Leona Boughton and Evelyn Johanneck
