Miss Penny became a part of my life in 1991. Our family had always had dogs when I was growing up. However, I had never had one as an adult.
I had always loved beagles and basset hounds. I looked at the Sunday paper and found just what I was looking for. I drove out to the seller's place and found several little 10-week-old beagles. As the gentleman and I discussed the price, little Penny started to chew on my shoelaces. That was all it took. I was in love. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, July 26, 2005. This little girl brought me more joy than most humans. I will always remember her. Goodbye, old girl.
