CARLIN, NV., - Lee Warren Toland, Carlin, Nevada, whose wife, Laura Braithwaite, is a former Spanish Fork resident, was found dead Sunday near Carlin, while prospecting in the area.
Authorities said he had been dead since September 14. Mr. Toland was alone at the time.
He was born October 18, 1901 in Livingston, California. He received his education in California schools. For many years he had worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad in Carlin. He was also interested in mining.
Surviving are his widow, three sons and three daughters, Don L. Toland, Sparks, Nevada; Dwaine Toland, serving with the U.S. Navy; T. Gary R. Toland, and Mrs. Robert (Elaine) Jones, Reno, Nevada; Mrs. Delores Hulery, Winnemucca, Nevada; Mrs. Don (Arlene) Wood, Australia; 20 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Melva Smith, Sacramento, California.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Funeral services were held today in Reno.
