He was born on April 13, 1926 at Broken Bow, Oklahoma, the son of Richard C. Allen and Bertha Ashford Allen. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Robey Allen; his daughter, Patricia Ann Allen; his parents; and two brothers, Howard Allen and Jodie Allen.
He was a retired welder for Chevron Oil Company and a United States Army veteran of World War II. He attended Grace Baptist Church and was active in the Glenwood Senior Citizens Center. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Martin Allen of Glenwood; five children and their spouses; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
