LOCK HAVEN On the sixth day of February 2014, Curvin P. Toomey (Paul) went to be with his Lord and Savior. Born July 27, 1931, in Cly, he was the son of the late Curvin George and Luella Grace (Witmer) Toomey. Paul married Patricia Esther Mundis, who survives, on April 11, 1952. They were married 59 years. Paul loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and NASCAR. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, being honorably discharged. He worked for York Stone and Supply Co. for over 35 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Susan K. Toomey Shaffer (Robert) of York; a sister-in-law, Shirley Toomey of York; five children, Patricia A. McCullough (John) of Haneyville, Paul A. Toomey of Manchester, Thomas G. Toomey (Cindy) of Manchester, Barbara E. McCullough (Ken) of Haneyville, and Sheryl M. Dole (Marv) of Rauchtown; eight grandchildren, John McCullough, Jr. (Darla), Gale Stingfellow (Rob), Matthew McCullough (Becky), Monica McCullough (Mickey), Jackie McCullough (Duane), Melanie Jodun, Amber Jodun, and Jennifer Claybaugh (Norm); and 10 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce; a sister, Delores; and a grandson, Eddie Toomey. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Strinestown Church. Friends will be received from noon until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Strinestown Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
