She was a member of the Junior Service Guild, where she was their past president and was a member of the Marion Country Club.

She will be missed by her two brothers: Gilbert Hancock of Demotte, Indiana, and William Hancock of Independence, Missouri: a sister, Betty Hartill of Buckeye, Arizona; and her special friends and caretakers: Patti Layne and Steve Redmond.

In addition to her husband and parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her son, William R. "Randy Houpt; and her brother, Randolph Hancock.

Services were held privately for her family in her home, and burial took place in Marion Cemetery.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Palace Theatre, 276 West Center Street, Marion, Ohio 43302.
