Dr. Charles Earle "Skeet" Graddick Jr., 77, of 208 Green Arbor Lane, husband of Sherry Hanvey Graddick, died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at National Health Care, Mauldin.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Charles Earle Graddick Sr. and Lois Simpson Graddick.

Dr. Graddick was a 1946 graduate of Greenville High School, Furman University in 1950, and the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine in 1962. He was the retired owner of Graddick's Animal Hospital and was the past president of Greenville County Veterinary Medical Association. He was a member of Greer First Baptist Church and was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Korean War.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Dana S. Graddick of Greenville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Steven L. and Donna Graddick of Greenville, and Scot A and April Graddick of Americus, Ga.; and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Austin, Megan, William, and Abbey Graddick. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorena Reaves Graddick.

Memorials may be made to the Arch Fund, University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, 501 D.W. Brooks Drive, Athens, GA 30602.

Visitation will be held this evening, May 12, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 13, 2006, at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will be at the residence.
