She was born Feb. 8, 1960, the daughter of Charles F. Bennett and Mary Orton.
Linda married Richard Sanko on July 3, 2000. A Great Bend resident since 1976, Linda worked many years of her life as a waitress for numerous restaurants, a certified nurses' aide, mother, homemaker, licensed heavy equipment operator and farm wife. She loved to fish, travel, spend time with her grandchildren, and was an excellent cook, specializing in fried chicken. She especially took pride in cleanliness and neatness.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Sanko, of the home; her mother, Mary Orton, Council Grove; two sons, Mitch Selle, Great Bend; Dylan Daugherty, Great Bend; two daughters, Jamie Wagner, Great Bend; April Trantham, Great Bend; a sister, Pamela Emley, Council Grove.
She was preceded in death by her father and by two sisters, Debbie Ney and Cathy Hawthorne.
Funeral Service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home with Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Interment will be at the Hoisington City Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday at Bryant Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
