Born July 3, 1915 in Owen County, he was the son of Grover and Alma (Collenbaugh) Mizer.
He was a retired farmer and worked at Winters Limestone in Spencer until retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Worthington.
Survivors include, one son Robert "Bob" Mizer of Worthington; two daughters, Jean Eidson of Indianapolis and Carolyn Tackett of Cordva, Ala.; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Irene (Wells) Mizer on July 4, 1989, and his parents.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday with Robert Tackett, his son-in-law officiating. Burial will follow at Fiscus Cemetery at Coal City.
