Sonia was born to the late Maximo and Clelia Negron. She moved her family to Florida from New York in 1990. She was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She also loved spending time with her family. Sonia is survived by a son, Robert (Stephanie) Acosta; grandchildren, Robert Acosta Jr., Jasmine (Gabriel) Ventura, and Jaiden Acosta; great granddaughter, Gabrielle Ventura; two brothers, Wally and Wilson Maya; sister, Carmen Rivera. Sonia was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Carlos.
