John Vernon Barnhart, 81, of Richmond, died Wednesday, March 22, 1995. He was a retired employee of The Virginia Deparment of Agriculture and Commerce where he worked for over 40 years. He is survived by a brother, Merton Barnhart of Wirtz; a sister, Mary Sue Flory of New Orleans, La.; and six nieces and nephews, John W. Myers III of Richmond, Page M. Dickson of Ronceverte, W.Va., George Barnhart of Wirtz, Richard Barnhart of Orlando, Fla., Steven Flory of Lafayette, La., and Susan Flory Cox of Baton Rouge, La. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, March 25, 1995, at 10 a.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem. The Rev. Ruth Huffman, of the Germantown Brick Church, will officiate. Arrangements by Bennett Funeral Home, West Chapel, Richmond.
