Eugene E. Bedford, 56, of Marcellus, died Friday, November 24, at Canandaigua Veterans Adminstration Hospital.

Mr. Bedford was employed as a farm placement representative for the state Employment Service in Auburn until his retirement in 1973 because of ill health. He was a graduate of Morrisville Agriculture and Technical college.

He was an elder and former deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Marcellus. He served in the Pacific during World War II in the Coast Guard. Mr. Bedord was a 30 year member and past master of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Bedord is survived by his wife, Anita Dillman Bedford, a daughter, Daphne Bedford of Baldwinsville, two sons, Scott E. Bedford and Christopher M. Bedford, both of Marcellus, two brothers, Donald Bedford of Winter Haven, Fla., and Carl Bedford of Rome, a sister, Mrs. John Poluck of Sherrill, two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Services were Monday, November 27, at New Union Cemetery, Verona.
