Mr. Deane A. Hoteling, age 78, of La Grange, MO died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 9:08 p.m. at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
He was born October 20, 1931 in Gerlaw, IL a son of Otis Arthur and Martha Elizabeth Sprague Hoteling. He married Myrna A. McDowell on Feb. 2, 1957 in La Grange, MO. She survives.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of La Grange and was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the Air Force. He retiried from Gardner Denver Foundry in La Grange March 26, 1992 where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club and had been a past president of the Glass Molders Union. Deane enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and puzzles.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna of La Grange; two sons, Tim D. Hoteling of La Grange and Troy D. Hoteling and his wife Marlene of Centerville, S.D.; two daughters, Mrs. Tina M. McCutchan and her husband Steve of La Grange and Ms. Tracy M. Hoteling of St. Louis, MO; two brothers, Delbert E. Hoteling and his wife Carol of Durham, MO and Robert K. Hoteling and his wife Jolain of Mesa, AZ; four grandsons, Todd B. White, Buckley McCutchan, Hunter J. McCutchan and Britt A. Hoteling; three granddaughters, Bettina M. Wainwright (Nathan), Megan A. Hoteling and Adrienne Hoteling; seven great grandchildren, Eli and Nick Benja, Alexis, Jessie, Dakota and Benjamin White and Chevelle McCutchan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Hazel Moffitt.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange with Rev. Jeff Sarafin officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Riverview Cemetery in La Grange. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 4, 2010 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange.
The family suggests memorials be made to the La Grange First Baptist Church.
