Palmira P. Abrego, age 90, passed away on February 10, 2014. She was born on March 25, 1923 to Manuel Pena and Teresa Monreal in Corpus Christi, Texas. Palmira was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and a great tortilla maker. She enjoyed reading, dancing, and listening to music.

Palmira is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Abrego, and her son, Richard P. Abrego. She is survived by her children, Theresa Zertuche (Rudy) of La Porte, Texas, Yolanda Aguirre (Ralph) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Raymond Abrego (Rosie) - Houston, Texas, Virginia Bacon - Corpus Christi, Texas, Rudy Abrego (Vickie) - Aransas Pass, Texas, Angie Abrego, Olga Tienda (Greg), Ruben Abrego (Leticia), Gracie Sandoval (Robert), Rosie Martinez (Richard), Elizabeth Ramon (Roger) all of Corpus Christi, Texas; 32 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

A public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A Rosary will begin that same evening at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
