Mrs. Long was born in Westphalia, Prussia on August 25, 1796.{again dates on grave marker are different} She has resided in the United States twenty-nine years, twenty-six of which were spent in Sturgeon Bay. She is the mother of John Long of this village, and Anton and Henry Long of Sevastopol and grandmother of Frank Long of this village.
She will be buried today (Thursday) from St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Her parents Ferdinand Hengst and Antoinette (nee Boehger/Boehner) Hengst. She married Franz Josephus Lange on April 29, 1817 in Bredenborn,Germany. She came to America with her sons Henry, John and Antone in 1853. Her other children remained in Prussia and noted by ** by their names
