Orville Elza Webb, 84, of Mountain View, died February 11. 2014. Orville was born February 29, 1929 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas to Elza Albert and Thelma Jackson Webb.

Orville was in the US Navy from July 6, 1948 to July 7, 1952. He received a Korean Ribon, a Good Conduct Medal, a UN Ribbon, and citations for China Service and Navy Occupation. He served on the USS Eldorado for most of his enlisted time.

Orville loved his Ford truck and was employed as a Ford service manager prior to retiring in 1991. He then traveled the United States fishing in many lakes and making many friends in the RV parks. His last long-term stay was in the Shady Grove RV Park in Mt. View.

He is survived by one daughter, Karen and her husband, Ed Edmondson of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; four grandsons, Adam and Shawn Webb and Matthew and Michael Edmondson; three great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter; one brother, Ken Webb of Oregon; and one sister, Florence Fowler of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Osborn Webb; his son, Kenneth Webb; and his brother, Marvin Webb.

Orville will be buried next to his son in Corona, California. His family wishes to thank the residents in Mountain View who made his last years so enjoyable for him. We also want to thank the nurses and health aides from Stone County Hospice.

**Two documents (WWII card and public record below) show his birthdate to be 25 February 1929 as opposed to 29 Feb 1929. Also, since 1929 is not a leap year, there cannot be 29 days in February. I believe his obituary to be incorrect for his birthday.
