Bobby Lynn Bennett, 59, died Monday, May 2, 2005, at West Point Community Living Center. He was born March 19, 1946, in Aberdeen to Troy Bennett and Willene Bowman Weeks. He lived most of his life in Aberdeen. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. He served in the Army National Guard.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. today at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Vernon, Ala., with the Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Tanya Fryar and husband, William, of New Albany, and Cindy Prestage of Hamilton; a son, Robert Comer and wife, Wendy, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; his mother, Willene Bowman Weeks of Aberdeen; a sister, Joanne Carlisle of Aberdeen; a nephew, Mitchell Livingston of Amory; seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Harlow Bennett, and his father, Troy Bennett.
Visitation will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
