Denton Grant Moulton, aged 93, passed away on May 20, 2013 in Sandy, Utah.

Born January 21, 1920 in Delta, Utah, he was the son of Grant and Eliza Manilla Overson Moulton.

Married Martha Lambert Eldredge on February 21, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Denton learned to work hard early in life because he grew up during the Great Depression. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps nearly a year before Pearl Harbor and was serving in Samoa when war broke out.

He worked for many years as a carpenter and later owned his own business. His son John said it best, "Daddy, when was it you knew that there wasn't anything you couldn't fix?"

Denton was active in the LDS Church as a stake missionary (Seventy), labored to build four LDS chapels, was a scoutmaster, volunteered as a counselor at the prison, served an LDS mission with his wife to the Iowa, Des Moines Mission, and was a temple worker at the Jordan River temple for over twenty years. He taught his children and grandchildren the values that guided his life, and treasured their company.

Denton was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, and is survived by children, Grant (Elynne) Moulton, John (Holly) Moulton, Marian (Ronald E.) Dautel, and Joseph (Edie) Moulton; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Stanley (Lillis) Moulton, Jane (Reed) Stone, and Phyllis (Ed) Murphy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Jordan Sixth Ward Chapel, 3650 West 4400 South, West Valley City. Viewings will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville, and Saturday at the church from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Memorial Park Cemetery, 4575 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville.
