Doreen was born in Long Beach, California in 1935. Her parents were George Walter & Daisy Glotfelty. After her birth, the family returned to Seattle, Washington. Later, Doreen moved back to California to attend the University of Southern California.
After graduating, she met & married David Perry. They moved to Pico Rivera, California where Doreen was a wonderful stay at home mom and gave birth to son Devin and daughter Darci.
Later, the family moved to Cypress, California where Doreen gave birth to another daughter, Dina. In 1970, her son Devin passed away at the age of 12. Doreen remained in Cypress after she and David divorced in 1977.
Doreen went to work to support her family, ultimately becoming a supervisor at the Auto Club of Southern California where she remained active even after her retirement.
Doreen was active in her church, loved to sing and to travel. Her final trip was a cruise to Mexico with her two daughters. Doreen died at sea aboard the cruise ship on 5/5/05 of a massive heart attack. Her family takes comfort in the knowledge that Doreen died doing what she loved surrounded by her girls.
