Marjorie Crews Crawford, age 92, formerly of Fernandina Beach, Florida, presently residing at Fleet Landing in Atlantic Beach, Florida went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, February 12, 2014 as she was reunited with her husband Tex and daughters Jonelle and Darlene. She was born in Oxford, North Carolina on March 24, 1921. Marge, as she was fondly known graduated from Columbia Nurses College receiving a degree in nursing. She married Grover Washburn Crawford and spent much of her life as a Navy wife. She was a wonderful wife, Navy nurse, mother and Mimi. Survivors include her daughter, Becky Stafford of Jacksonville, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 in the morning on Monday, March 10, 2014 in the Windward Commons Building of Fleet Landing, Atlantic Beach, Florida, with Reverend Thomas Price officiating. Her family will receive friends, on the morning of the 10th, from 9:30 until the hour of service at Fleet Landing. Entombment and committal services will follow at 1:30 in the afternoon at the Amelia Plantation Chapel Columbarium on Amelia Island, Florida, with Pastor Ted Schroder, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marge may be made to Faith Bridge Church, 13720 McCormick Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32225.
