Married Amos Cook on 3 March 1850, Pickaway County, OH, according to marriage certificate.
See note from contributor #48383811 below:
Elizabeth's death certificate is incorrect about her parents. Her father was Michael M. Nigh, who died in 1847 in Mexico in the Mexican American War. Her mother was Mary Ann Bechtel Nigh Cherry, who was living with her in the 1850 census, along with her younger sister, Mary Jane Nigh Torrence. Elizabeth had a brother named Isaac Nigh, who also served in the Mexican War as well as the Civil War. That is likely where the confusion lies. Her family knew about Isaac and incorrectly listed him as her father. She was the daughter of Michael and Mary Bechtel Nigh.
