MEBANE, N.C. - Mrs. Gloria Ward Harrelson, 71, died suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Alamance County to the late Lloyd Vance Ward Sr. and Mary Foust Ward and was married to the late Talmadge Peyton Craig. Gloria retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of the New Vision Community Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Boggs of Mebane; son and daughter-in-law, Billy Wayne and Beatrice Ward of Mebane; six grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren; sisters, Faye Russell and Kaye Sutton, both of Burlington; half brother, Timmy Ward, of Burlington; and half sister, Angela Ward of South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Lloyd Vance Ward Jr.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Stacey Hall. Burial will follow at McCray Primitive Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
