Mary Hanmer was born to Francis Hanmer (1739-1816) and Rhoda Boardman (1742-1801) on 15 Dec 1764 in Wethersfield, CT. She married George Boardman on 27 Nov 1788 in Wethersfield, CT. Mary and George had 10 children:
