Frances K. (Addams) Albu, of Alliance, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at the age of 89. She was born Oct. 2, 1924, in Alliance, the daughter of the late Paul and Rose (Bricker) Addams.

Frances was a graduate of the Alliance High School Class of 1942 and resided in the area most of her life. She was a former bookkeeper for Nick Albu Construction and a member of Sleepy Hollow Golf Club.

She is survived by three children, Susan D. (Tom) Boyer of Canton, James P. (Elaine) Albu of Scottsdale, Ariz., and William F. (Pat) Albu of Arlington Heights, Ill.; four grandchildren, Kimberly S. Collen of Canton, Rebecca J. Collen of Lakewood, Christopher B. Albu of Chicago and Nicholas Albu of Arlington Heights, Ill.; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Albu, whom she married Feb. 7, 1948; sister, Ann Duro; brothers, Paul, Donald and Leonard Addams; and granddaughter, Katharine Spain.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
