Interment Church Cemetery∼Donna Lape was born on January 20, 1936 - the daughter of Albert and Evelyn Specht Lape of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She married Bob Baldwin of Millersville on June 9, 1956 at St. Mary’s Church in Annapolis. Bob graduated with a business degree from Loyola College of Maryland in 1956 and then was called to active duty in the U.S. Army serving in Georgia, New Jersey, and Germany until 1964. Donna and he were stationed at faraway military bases and many of their children were born there. Donna was a stay-at-home mother and together they raised seven children – Bob, Jr. (1957), David (1958), John (1959), Anne Marie (1962), Steve (1963), Mark (1964), and Danny (1968) in Crownsville, Maryland. Their children all graduated from Arundel High School in Gambrills, Maryland.
When Bob and family returned to Maryland, he joined the family-owned Reliable Contracting Company with his brother Bill and he retired at the end of 1999. In 1994, Bob was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates and represented his community until 2002. Donna and Bob's children all graduated from Arundel High School in Gambrills, Maryland.
Later in life their mother Donna suffered with Alzheimer's disease. Donna Lape Baldwin died in Crownsville on February 14, 2014 at the age of 79. She was buried at Our Lady of the Fields Cemetery in Millersville.
