Annie Haines Presque Isle 86. Wife of the late Albert Haines, died 5-7-1990 at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born 5-25-1930 at Knowlesville, NB., Canada, the daughter of Rev. Judson and Alice (Howlett) Corey. She taught school in Lower Hainesville, NB, Canada, where she met her husband, Albert. Mrs. Haines was a excellent seamstress, upholsterer and was active in Choir and clubs at the Bethany Baptist Church in Presque Isle, where she was a charter member. She also enjoyed cooking and raising indoor plants. She was a charter member of the up and Coming Club and the Star City Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by 2 sons, Albert Haines of Columbia, MD. and Keith Haines of West Chester, PA., 3 sisters, Esther Smith of St,John, NB., Canada, Edna Corey and Mildred Shirley, both of Gardner, MA., 2 brothers, David Corey of Gardner, MA. and Alfred Corey of Nova Scotia, Canada, 6 grandchildren, Jane Ingold, Sandra Hetrick, Mark Haines, David Haines, Deborah Haines and Matthew Haines, 3 great grandchildren, Rebecca, Sarah and Matthew. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Earl Corey and a sister, Alberta. Burial Fairmount cemetery.
