Margaret Ann Nicholson, 67, Bowlegs resident, died Friday, February 14, 2014 in her home. She was born August 9, 1946 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Bessie Morton Matthews and Benjamin Franklin Matthews.

She was graduated from Dustin High School in 1964.

She married Philip Nicholson on November 10, 1983 in Bowlegs, OK and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2005.

She was a retired owner/operator/cook at the Bowlegs Cafe, and enjoyed spending time with her family as well as watching the Oklahoma City Thunder, and her favorite TV shows, Gunsmoke and Bonanza.

She is survived by her four daughters: Johnna Nicholson, and fiance Frank Schlueter of Bowlegs, OK, Julie Riddle and husband James of Seminole. Chelsea Nicholson of Bowlegs, OK, and Lisa Padgett of Ada, OK., her special friend, James Mullen, one brother Kenneth Matthews and wife Lou of Broken Arrow, OK., sister-in-law Claudia Matthews of Dustin, OK., two grandchildren, Chancey and Garry Riddle, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Phil Nicholson, a sister, Lessie Matthews, three brothers, Bill, Garland, and Wayne Matthews.

Graveside services are planned for 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Thrace Cemetery, south of Bowlegs, Oklahoma with Rev. Allen Wood officiating.

Casket bearers will be Wesley Mullen, Michael Mullen, Curtis Mullen, Jason Mullen, Garry Riddle, Josh Coleman, D.J. Matthews, and J.D. Matthews. Honorary bearers will be Hoyle Schlueter, James Mullen, James Riddle, Kenneth Dean Matthews, Frank Schlueter, and John Smith.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
