Cecelia was a 1926 graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School. On January 29, 1930, she married John Arnold Maples at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death May 15, 1977.
Cecelia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; Christian Mothers and the church choir. In her free time, she enjoyed tending to her flower garden. Cecelia had a true passion for cleaning her house as well as the homes of others.
Survivors include her children: Robert Maples of Sturgeon Bay; Anita (Ralph) Anschutz of Sturgeon Bay; Sarah Sladky of Francis Creek and Timothy (Bridgette) Maples of Germany;
nine grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild;
one sister Elizabeth Kosak of Milwaukee
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lena and Frank Kosak, husband John Maples, daughter-in-law Esther Maples; two grandchildren Janice and Mark Sladky, one infant great-granddaughter; two brothers Arnold and Frank Kosak; a sister Margaret Verkuilen; two infant sisters Margaret and Eleanor Kosak.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am October 23rd at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
