Jane E. (Coughlin) Clasby of Quincy, born in Dorchester, died Feb. 13, 2014. Janes family was the focal point of her life. She was a kind and friendly woman who loved to sing and dance. In fact she and her husband danced well into their 70s. She was a lifelong Quincy resident and loved her city deeply, participating in many of the Squantum Community Association events. Jane worked for White Brothers Dairy in North Quincy as well as the longtime cafeteria manager at Squantum Elementary School in Quincy. Her Catholic faith was central in her life and she was a member of the Catholic Womens Club at Star of the Sea Church in Squantum. She was the beloved wife of Thomas F. Clasby of Quincy and formerly of Waltham; loving mother of Maureen A. Pelton and her husband Thomas of Quincy and Thomas F. Clasby Jr. and his wife Theresa of Fitchburg; sister of the late Daniel, James and Charles Coughlin; Gramma to Michael, Kristine, Erin, and John Pelton and Kent Clasby. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy, Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Quincy, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Burial in Coughlin Cemetery, Quincy.
