He was born in Johnson County North Carolina 37 yrs,old 5'9'' fair complextion and hair, and blue eyes, ''This soldier has been unfit for duty since February 1862 having the fever at that time and since that time he has been afflicted with the chronic diarrhea and pain in the breast rendering him totally incapacitated for th Service with no prospect of his recovery, I therefore recommend that he be discharged" Signed June 25th,1863 by Thomas Baker,1st Lieut,Co.A 1st ILL,Cavalry, Commanding Detachment.
