Thomas Jefferson Duncan III, age 97, was born on December 13, 1916 in Goliad, Texas to Thomas Jefferson, Jr. and Ossenior Duncan. He passed February 16, 2014 in Kingsville, Texas.

He was raised in Odem, Texas. He was an auto mechanic at Campbell Motor Company for many years. He retired from Franklin Welding in 1980.
TJ enjoyed gardening, walking, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a quiet family man.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Duncan; two brothers, Ollie Duncan and Jessie Duncan; and two sisters, Irma Wallace and Marvle Bissett.
Survivors include a sister, Bee Hudspeth from Greeley, Colorado; two sons, Thomas Duncan from Loma Mar, California and Gary Duncan (Debra) from Friendswood, Texas; and a daughter, Judy Hutton (Alan) from Sandia, Texas.
Other survivors include eight grandchildren, Cameron Duncan, Brandon Duncan, Shelbi Duncan, Gloria Crisp(Michael), Paula Duncan, Maxwell Duncan(Katie), Jacqueline Hutton, and Ryan Hutton; three great-grandchildren, Aidan Crisp, Samantha Duncan, and Oliver Duncan.

Visitation will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. James Ramirez officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
