WILMER, Alabama -- The funerals for the three victims of Saturday night's accident on U.S. 98 at Big Creek Lake Bridge will take place on Thursday.
The service for Brady Hoffman, 17, will be at 11 a.m. First Baptist Church of Wilmer, 13371 Moffett Road, with a visitation at 10 a.m. There will also be a wake for the Mary G. Montgomery High School senior on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church.
The visitation for Robert Harvey Albritton Jr., 69, of Wilmer, and Albritton's grandson, MGM student Brandon Albritton, 15, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home, 8730 Sims Road in Eight Mile.
A service for the Albrittons will be held at 1 p.m., with interment to follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
A second passenger in Albritton's vehicle, MGM student Brianna Albritton, 16, of Wilmer, was injured in the accident. Information about her condition was unavailable Tuesday morning.
MGM's principal, James Gill, described Hoffman and Albritton as "two fine young men, who were taken far too soon."
Hoffman took part in the school's morning news show, sang in the choir and was a member of the tennis team, among numerous other activities, Gill said.
Albritton was involved in the school's horticulture program. "He was one of our stellar students and had a promising career ahead of him, " Gill said. "He really worked well with the career tech teachers ... he was a well-rounded young man."
Brianna Albritton was new to MGM and was "off to a promising start, " Gill said. "We hope she continues to recover."
On Monday morning, Hoffman's and Albritton's friends held a prayer vigil at the flagpole. The school has counselors on hand to help the students work through their grief, Gill said.
"The kids here have responded wonderfully, with an outpouring of love" for the victims, he said.
Many students have created tributes and videos in memory of Hoffman and Albritton, Gill said.
"Hopefully, through time, we can work through this loss."
Updated at 3 p.m. Tuesday to reflect a change in the time for the services for the Albritton family.
