A fellow rider of the London Road Runners club. His partner and friend George Shearer started up G & G Cycle repair shop in Lambeth. The original shop is now closed.

In his younger days Gary rode a 750 Royal Enfield and for all the weight this had to deal with, it was pretty quick for its size.He raced it at Sparta Dragway.

I know we rode to-gether and I didn't think it was necessary to know too much, just have fun.I was younger and it wasn't a thought that would cross my mind.

"But each day brings its petty dust our soon-choked souls to fill, and we forget because we must, and not because we will."...Matthew Arnold. [now that's what I call poetic]
