Billy Charles Algeo, 97, entered into the presence of our Lord on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Bill was born on September 26, 1921, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Howard William and Anna Marie (Scott) Algeo. He served in the US Army during WWII and fought in the battle of Okinawa where he received the Bronze Star.

He married the love of his life, Mildred “Peggy” Oleva Welsch in 1946. The family later moved to Columbus, Ohio where Bill was the manager at City Loan and Saving for many years. Bill and Peggy retired to Sarasota, Florida, where they had many happy years. They also lived in Pace and St. Petersburg, Florida. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home in Land O’ Lakes, Florida.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Peggy; four siblings, Howard Algeo, Lavina Algeo Anderson, Jack Algeo, and Kathryn Algeo Fields.

Bill is survived by his children: his daughter, Shirley Algeo Morrison and his son, David Algeo (Maria); his sister, Hope Algeo. He was the proud grandfather of Kristal Algeo Williams (Brad); Rebecca Algeo Webb; Rhonda Morrison; Heather Morrison; and Travis Morrison. Great-grandfather to Emily Williams McClure (Caleb); Jacob Williams; Andrew, Kennedy and Max Webb; and Brandon and Jaylee Morrison and great-great-granddaughter; Adalynn McClure.

He was buried at Garden Sanctuary on September 4, 2019.
