Macon , GA- Maxine F. Abney, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 15, 2014. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Ave. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with Tommy Abney and Georgia Bridgers officiating. The family will meet friends on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Ave.
Mrs. Abney was born in Swainsboro, Georgia to the late Mack and Linnie Bell Foskey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olan Abney, two children; James Olan Abney, Jr. and Gloria Abney Pike, two brothers; Eddie and Buddy Foskey. She was a member of Southside Congregational Holiness Church and was a prayer warrior. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her children; Tommy (Betty) Abney of Jones Co., Barbara Parrish of Jones, Co., Eddie (Lynn) Abney of Jones, Co., Jack (Terri) Abney of Jones, Co., sixteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
