"Manuel 'Bobby' V. Heredia, of San Simon died at home on February 11, 2014 at the age of 76. He was born in Duncan, Arizona on February 15, 1938 to Juan A. Heredia and Anita Villa Heredia. Bobby served in the US Army and US Navy during the Korean Conflict, and was a former member of the San Simon Fire Department. He was a Chef and worked for many years at the Shady Grove Truck Stop. On January 26, 1963 in Lordsburg, New Mexico he married Petra Rodriguez who survives him. Also surviving are his children Marisela (Julio) Gonzalez and Linda Anna Rodriguez both of San Simon and Mario (Wendi) Heredia of Casa Grande, Arizona along with 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. His sisters Amelia Salazar of Castroville, California and Vivian ( Henry) Lopez of Hayden, Arizona and his brother Danny Heredia of Oxnard, California also survive him. Preceding him in death was his grandson Julio J. Gonzalez, his parents and his brothers Johnny and Jimmy. A Rosary will be offered 7:00 P.M. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Westlawn Chapel. Graveside Services will be 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Homewood Cemetery in San Simon."
