Samuel Paul "Sammy" Chamlee, Sr., age 62 of McDonough, Georgia passed away February 17, 2014. He was born in McDonough, Georgia to the late John Robert Chamlee, Sr. and Pauline Dunn Chamlee. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jayla Katherpne Burch and by siblings, John Robert Chamlee, Jr., Grace Royalston and Joyce Pritchett. Sammy graduated from Henry County High School in 1969 and faithfully served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He worked for General Motors for many years and operated Chamlee Plumbing Company. He was a devoted family man that loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt track racing and loved his dogs. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Jane Fisher Chamlee; children, Melissa (Brian) Burch of Hampton, Samuel Chamlee, Jr. of McDonough and Charles (Melinda) Chamlee of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Katerah Driskill, Christopher Chamlee, Jocelynn Burch, Braylee Burch and Charles Chamlee, Jr.; siblings, Anna Pearl Bunn of Stockbridge, Claude (Pat) Chamlee of McDonough, Helen (Dorsey) Ricks of Kelleytown, Gloria (Verlon) Harvey of McDonough, Danny Chamlee of Hampton and Donnie (Kathy) Chamlee of McDonough; numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
