Aaron Sanford King, 83, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Pisgah Manor.

A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Milas and Dora Clark King. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Gregg King, on February 11, 2014, grandson Robert King, sisters Ellen Flowers and Ines Farmer, and brother Mailon King.

Mr. King worked for Taylor Instruments, SteelCase, and the Royal Crown Bottling Company. He was a member of Leicester Baptist Church.

He is survived by daughters Debbie Watts and husband Mike, and Sheila Warren and husband David; son Aaron King; grandchildren Joey Gillespie, Josh Gillespie, James Hodge, and Toya Loss; and great-grandchildren Jakob, Josie, and Andrew Gillespie.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Leicester Baptist Church, with the Revs. David Plemmons, Ricky Wolfe, and Chad Ellege officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
