Joseph Bruce Allen, 77, Eldon, died Saturday at St. Marys Health Center. He was born Jan. 12, 1920, in Miller County, a son of Fordyce and Chloe Foote Allen. He was married Sept 6, 1959, in Kansas City, to Ella Mae Campbell, who died Sept 4, 1988.
He was employed as a machine operator at Lake City Arsenal, Kansas City, for 30 years until his retirement in t he early 1980s. He was a member of the Masons and First Christian Church, Eldon.
Survivors include: two daughters, Judith K. Looten, Olean, and Joyce F. Campbell, Versailles; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch and the Rev. Bennie Yount will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
