Ronald Dale Hines of Danville passed away at 6:35 p.m. Monday (Feb. 17, 2014) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
He was born July 7, 1949 at Lakeview Hospital in Danville to Claude and Margaret Bernice Hines. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister-in-law, Verna Hines. He married Shirley Smith in Farina on June 11, 1977. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Eric (Lisa) Walker, Ronald Hines Jr. and Carter (Christina) Ingram; two grandchildren; his brother, Mirl Hines; his sister, Dick (Marlene) Goulding; nieces, Lauren Roselle and Deanna Hodges and nephew, Rick Goulding.
He served in the Armed Forces for three years. He retired from General Motors and worked at McLane Midwest.
