Gertrude Whatley, 87, went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2014 in Houston, TX. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, William Curtis Whatley, children Gloria Young, Spring, TX, Terry Whatley, Houston, TX, Bill Whatley and wife Jean, Houston, TX, Debra Bennett and husband John, Houston, TX., granddaughter Mary Bennett, Houston, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be February 24,2014 from 6pm to 8pm at American Heritage Funeral Home. Services will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home on February 25, 2014 at 10:15am. Interment will follow At Houston National Cemetery with Rev. Tim Strickland officiating.
